Cosmos

In honor of Carl Sagan day, I'd like to link to Cosmos:





Nearly thirty years later, and in spite of tremendous advances in astronomy, Cosmos is still a wonderful introduction. Rather than focus on the science, Carl Sagan does a great job of sharing the wonder of discovery.

I am kicking myself now: when I was much younger, I was visiting a cousin who works at Cornell, and he pointed to Carl Sagan's office and asked if I wanted to go up and say hello. Out of shyness, I guess, I demurred, but it would have been a fascinating visit.
